This feature story was released in the April 2002 issue of DIGITALTV.
The article features the Journal Broadcast Group's transition
to digital. Heartland Video Systems was the systems integrator
that provided the HDI system in place at three Journal Broadcast
Group stations in Las Vegas, NV; Palm Springs, CA and in Lansing,
MI. The HDI integrates equipment from both Miranda Technologies
and TANDBERG Television, amongst various equipment from Wohler,
Evertz, Dolby and Heartland Video Systems.

- "HD Comes to the Upper Peninsula" (TV Technology Feb
20, 2002): This feature story was released in the February 20th
2002. The article centered around the Heartland Video System DTV
system design forWWTV (Cadillac, MI) and its sister station, WWUP
(Sault St. Marie), using a multiple hop microwave system to transmit
the signal the WWTV to WWUP, while overcoming terrain variables.
This project also centered around the HDI DTV system from Heartland
Video Systems.

1, 2002): This feature story was released in the May 1st 2002
issue. The article highlights the digital transition for Young
Broadcasting, specifically the Miranda Aquila HD upconverter that
the transition focused around and the role Heartland Video Systems
played during their decision to choose the Miranda Upconverter.

- "Saga Meets the Deadline" (TV Technology June 10,
2002): This feature story was released on July 10, 2002. The article
details how four small stations owned by Saga Communications went
digital without breaking their budgets and the FCC deadline. Heartland
Video Systems furnished the Tandberg gear and set up the PSIP
for each stations before shipping so Saga could operate right
when it arrived.
