Stellar (SATCOMM):
The stellar is a satellite uplink amplifier used for satellite up-link
(satcom) applications from low power antenna mount configurations
for the Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) sector through to
high power rack systems for large teleports.
The stellar product range covers all the primary satellite frequency
bands - C, X, Ku, DBS and Tri-band. E2V's expertise in the design
of Travelling Wave Tubes (TWTs) allows them to offer high levels
of RF performance as well as long life. E2V's amplifiers are designed
for use in fixed stations, ground stations and mobile applications
worldwide. Stellar flyaway or tru-based systems meet the demanding
challenges faced by satellite newsgathering (SNG and DSNG) teams
to get their stories on the world's TV screens as they happen 24
hours a day.

UHF-TV Klystrons :
Klystrons are used as the final amplifier stage in UHF television
transmitters of 5 kW peak sync output power and above. E2Vs range
of EEV klystrons will fit most transmitter types and extends from
the older unpulsed tubes to modern wideband types and the latest Energy
Saving Collector klystrons. They have been manufacturing UHF TV klystrons
since the early 1960s. Some of these original transmitters are still
in use today and we pride ourselves on working with our customers
to ensure that tube supplies are maintained for the full life of the
transmitter.

ESCIOT®s and IOTs :
EEV ESCIOTs™ and IOTs from e2v technologies are used as the
final amplifier stage in UHF television transmitters. IOTs, initially
designed for analog transmission have now been optimised along with
ESCIOTs™ for digital broadcasting. Since the early 1990's e2v
technologies has maintained its position as the world's leading supplier
of IOTs for high power analog and digital UHF TV transmitters. With
digital transmission set to be the future for terrestrial television,
the EEV IOT is now proving itself in both test sites and full-time
digital UHF TV broadcasters throughout the world. The full range of
