The new Triveni Digital StreamScope™ Enterprise Monitor (EM-40) is an enterprise-wide service quality assurance solution that is aimed at proactive, real-time, service-based response. It proactively detects, localizes, analyzes, isolates, and remedies faults impacting video services based on predefined rules. This will allow broadcasters, service providers, and IPTV networks to reduce customer down-time and complaint response costs by providing the user full remote analysis capabilities of any monitored streams. StreamScope™ RM-40 MPEG Video Monitoring Solution:
The StreamScope RM-40 is a low-cost stream monitoring appliance that can be monitored remotely from any SNMP agent in a network. The RM-40SE is a full-featured, in-depth, 24/7 unattended remote monitoring instrument that performs comprehensive MPEG video monitoring for real-time RF streams. The small form factor design is a powerful, user-friendly, low-cost monitoring solution that verifies DTV transport streams carried by service providers including broadcasters, cable, telcos, satellite, mobile TV and IPTV operators. Interfaces to the Triveni Digital GuideBuilder™ metadata management systems and the Business Intent Assurance feature validate that the streams are well formed from a standards perspective and automatically ensure that the streams comply with the business model of the operation. StreamScope™ Monitoring and Troubleshooting (MT-40):
The StreamScope™ product line targeted for DTV networks enables efficient stream quality monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting on an enterprise-wide scale. Indispensable in the station or any network location, the StreamScope MT-40 rackmountable and portable models are available with ASI, VSB, SMPTE-310, QAM, 8VSB, QPSK and Gigabit Ethernet input support. The new StreamScope products work together to enable cost-effective deployment across a broadcast operation, whether on a local, regional, or national scale, and the systems have open interfaces to enable easy integration with third party products. The use of standard formats for capturing of recorded streams helps achieve this high-level of third party integration support. Innovative elements of the new StreamScope architecture include a rule-based monitoring system and associated rule creation tools, the Business Intent Assurance™ feature and stream transformation monitoring. The StreamScope MT-40 provides end-to-end, MPEG-2/MPEG-4 transport stream monitoring and analysis for DTV signals carried by broadcast, cable, satellite, IPTV, or mobile networks. GuideBuilder™ - PSIP Solution:
Addressing the 2009 digital switchover, the GuideBuilder™ solution adheres to the latest changes in the PSIP standard per the recent FCC R&O. New features include fully automated redundancy, enhancements to support centralized PSIP, and tight integration with multiplexers and automation systems. The GuideBuilder system provides mission-critical operational capabilities for both content providers and network operators by generating accurate PSIP data. Mandated by the FCC, PSIP forms the foundation for ATSC digital television transport streams and is important for digital cable carriage of over-the-air (OTA) broadcasts. Errors in PSIP data can cause lapses in the DTV signal, problems with closed captioning, V-chip data, and errors with electronic program guides (EPG) - all significant concerns for broadcasters. GuideBuilder also enables cable and IPTV networks to meet their DTV signaling and EPG needs.
