Broadcast Systems Design for Rack Room at Northwest Broadcasting

When Northwest Broadcasting of Spokane, Washington contracted our broadcast support services, one of the areas they needed help with was their rack room. Their original rack room was disorganized and disorienting, which made ease of operation extremely difficult. There was virtually no logic in the setup of systems. The relative placement of the systems was difficult to access and maneuver around. The broadcast equipment was outdated and there was an entangled web of unidentifiable black cords.

Desperately needing to update their broadcast equipment, as well as simplify and improve their rack room layout all led to Northwest Broadcasting seeking out our broadcast support services. When we put our broadcast systems specialist in touch with the Chief Technology Officer at Northwest Broadcasting, we discussed the facility’s unique requirement, equipment specifications and objectives. Once all of the details were in place, we dispatched our broadcast systems design engineer to the Northwest Broadcasting facility.

Upon arrival, our broadcast systems design engineer worked diligently to organize the new, simplified and easy-to-access layout, as well as perform all of the broadcast system integration work, including the labeled and color-coded cords. The Chief Technology Officer at Northwest Broadcasting was shocked at how efficiently the setup was complete, but more importantly how well designed and organized the rack room was.

After providing technical training to the appropriate operators, we provided direct contact information for any future assistance with broadcast system solutions, including product selection, system integration and support services.
